Xavier makes Kiplinger’s grade as 41st best value amongst America’s private colleges

Once again, Xavier University (XU) makes the grade.Kiplinger’s Personal Finance has placed XU at 41 – climbing up a spot since 2008 – in the “Top 50 Best Values” category for private American universities.The list was released in the February edition of the magazine, and includes separate lists for private universities and liberal arts colleges.  Other universities of note included in the rankings include Yale, Harvard, Boston College and MIT, among others.The rankings take into account the quality and affordability of the education offered by the institutions.Specifically, alongside quality and affordability, factors like admission rates, SAT scores, student-faculty ratios, graduation rates and average post-graduation debt were taken into account.Availability of financial aid is also considered, especially during this challenging economic time.And this recognition from Kiplinger is nothing new for XU.  During the 2008-2009 academic year alone the school has also received a shower of praise from others, as well.US News and World Report has named XU 2nd best among Midwestern universities and colleges and 16th best part-time MBA program in the nation, The Princeton Review has listed XU in The Best 368 College 2009 list, and XU tied for 1st among America’s Top Business Graduate Schools for Physicians in Modern Healthcare.  To learn more about XU, visit here.
