Arts & Drafts : Art Classes at HighGrain Brewery :JAN

ArtsConnect partners with HighGrain Brewery on Tuesdays to offer a variety of ArtsConnect art workshops from some of their gifted instructors. The first Tuesday of the month is Pottery Projects and the third Tuesday of the month is Make It, Take It Projects. Enjoy a beer on tap or a glass of wine while creating art! Food and drinks are available for purchase but are not included in the workshop price. Pottery Projects 1st Wednesday of the Month 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Pottery Projects vary from glazing a pre-made pottery piece or creating your own hand-built clay mug. In hand-building you will sculpt a clay mug. Select a glaze color and the instructor will glaze it once it has been fired. Pottery Painting : FEB 4, APR 1, JUNE 3 $40 / $36 Hand-built Clay Mug : MARCH 4, MAY 6 $50 / $45 After your piece is fired, you can pick it up at ArtsConnect. Make It, Take It Projects 3rd Tuesday of the Month 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Make It, Take It Projects are workshops where participants make different art projects taught by various instructors. Some projects are seasonal and holiday-related, which makes them great as unique gifts. Projects are completed within the class time, so you will go away with your homemade creations! Ben Folds & A Piano Tour

Singer-songwriter Ben Folds has announced a brand-new solo tour called “Ben Folds & A Piano” that will stop by Cincinnati, OH for a performance at Taft Theatre on June 16. ABOUT BEN FOLDS Ben Folds is an Emmy-nominated singer-songwriter who has created an enormous body of genre-bending music that includes pop albums with Ben Folds Five, multiple solo albums, a holiday album, and numerous collaborative records. He currently tours as a pop artist, while also performing for over two decades with some of the world’s greatest symphony orchestras. Folds, who served for eight years as the first ever Artistic Advisor to the National Symphony Orchestra (NSO) at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC, stepped down from his post when Donald Trump announced his takeover of the Center. Just days before the US presidential election, Folds recorded two sold out performances with the NSO which he released as a live album in 2025 that debuted at the top of the Billboard classical and classical crossover charts. A New York Times Best Selling author, Ben also creates new music for film, tv and theatre, including original songs for an ongoing series of animated Peanuts specials on Apple TV. In 2022, he launched a music education charitable initiative in his native state of North Carolina entitled “Keys For Kids,” which provides funds and keyboards to existing nonprofits that offer free or affordable piano lessons to school-age children from economically disadvantaged households.
