High-tech entrepreneur, Mahendra Vora and Vora Ventures creates new growth company

High-tech entrepreneur Mahendra Vora’s latest move is the acquisition of two IT firms, their planned merger as a vehicle for turther growth.

Serial high-tech entrepreneur Mahendra Vora has already created an investment group with a portfolio of 12 IT firms that employ more than 2,000 people.  Now, his Vora Ventures has just acquired two firms that he plans to merge and then use as a vehicle to keep growing.

Vora bought Professional Data Resources, based in Cincinnati, and Ascendum Systems of Bangalore, India. The plan is to combine them in a Cincinnati-based company called Ascendum Solutions. The two IT firms “form a solid platform to acquire and merge many more,” Vora says.

Vora has started and sold several companies, including Internet search engine Intelliseek. His latest project is the Vora Technology Park, a new technology office park on the outskirts of Cincinnati that he’s creating from the former old-tech headquarters of paper company Champion International.
