Cincinnati professional women tap into national network

Professional women in Greater Cincinnati have a new networking group, part of the Network of Executive Women (NEW), a national organization for the consumer product goods and retail industry.

Professional women in Greater Cincinnati have a new networking group with national ties. The Network of Executive Women (NEW), a national organization for the consumer product goods and retail industry, is forming a regional group. They want to attract, retain and advance women in the region through education, leadership and business development.  Nationally, there are more than 2,200 members. The Greater Cincinnati Network of Executive Women Regional Committee includes membership from consumer goods manufacturers, retailers, sales and marketing companies, trade associations and consulting companies in the Greater Cincinnati area.

It’s a “chance to develop leadership and management skills, network with other women, learn about opportunities and strategies for advancement, find mentors and increase visibility,” says Lisa Holsclaw, a Kroger Co. vice president. The first NEW event will be held at The Westin Cincinnati on April 10, from 3 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. David Dillon, chairman and CEO of Kroger, will kick off the event.
