Inventors and companies need each other, and Doug Hall of Eureka Ranch Technology has made it easier for them to find each other.

The Web-based service, called the USA National Innovation Marketplace, allows business and industrial customers to browse ideas in an easy to use interface.

Hall says that the sometimes technical jargon of the inventor will be translated to give buyers a better idea how the ideas translate into consumer products, and special software will evaluate the invention’s probable costs.

According to the New York Times, the registry could be a boon for inventors who lack partnerships with industries or large universities.

It is also expected to be a benefit to small and medium-sized businesses, which sometimes don’t have the resources to compete with larger companies in the marketplace of ideas.
