Steed Hammond Paul moves to “green” headquarters; changes name to SHP Leading Design
Architecture firm Steed Hammond Paul has a new name and is moving to a new, “green” headquarters. The new name: SHP Leading Design.
The name has been changed and so have the surroundings. Architecture firm Steed Hammond Paul has a new name and is moving to a new, “green” headquarters. The new name: SHP Leading Design, which the 105-year-old firm says reinforces its commitment to innovative and sustainable design.
The firm is also preparing to grow, moving to a new HQ in Norwood at the end of March. The office incorporates green design principles, with the goal of achieving the LEED Commercial Interiors Gold Rating. The site uses natural daylight, sensors to save energy by automatically adjusting artificial light,.and paint colors that reflect and absorb light where appropriate.
“The end result of our new space will be a more responsive, flexible, high-performing organization better able to serve our clients,” says Executive VP Lauren Della Bella. SHP will maintain its office in Hamilton, Ohio, as well as its Columbus office, which was recently moved into an open space that follows green design standards.
