Ohio bioscience attracted $1.3 billion in investment in 2006

The State of Ohio welcomed 47 new bioscience companies in 2006, resulting in $1.3 billion in investment.  This is an 8 percent increase over 2005, according to BioOhio’s 2007 Ohio Bioscience Growth Report.

According to the press release from the Ohio Business Development Coalition, the report reinforces Ohio’s standing as a national leader in the bioscience industry. 

In southwest Ohio, AssureRx is integrating technology from Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center and the Mayo Clinic.
