Channel your inner Columbus to explore Covington during Full Spectrum and don’t miss the Broadway tour of The Color Purple at the Aronoff Center.

Cincinnati is alive with the sound of music this weekend as the 8th Annual MidPoint Music Festival takes over downtown, Over-the-Rhine, and Northern Kentucky, and brings artists from every walk of life with it. The nationally recognized three-day music event puts the best in up-and-coming music at your feet during the walk-able fest. Take a break from rocking out to decorate a bra in support of breast health during Crafty Couture or to enjoy the 7th Annual Art Fair at Pyramid Hill.

Cincinnati welcomes the Next Leaders Summit this weekend and the YP’s couldn’t have picked a better time to experience some of the city’s more uniquely Cincinnati events. They’ve come just in time for the Bacchanalian Society’s Wine Tasting and Oktoberfest Zinzinnati which hosts the World’s Largest Chicken Dance. See the Weston Gallery’s 2009-2010 exhibition opener, which features three new shows or grab your pet parrot and head over to Leapin Lizard’s Grand Re-Opening and FunRaiser, Talk like a Pirate, Drink like a Fish.

Cincinnati celebrates her long and honored tradition of the brewing of beer this weekend with the one and only, THE Cincinnati Beer Festival. Join the Cincinnati Shakespeare Company for their season opener Lion In The Winter. Take a sip and a trip around the World at the Global Tea Concert or head over to Bellevue for the 8th annual Art In The Park.

Cincinnati must top the list when it comes to Labor Day celebrations in the Midwest. Putting us there is the annual Riverfest celebration with the spectacular Cincinnati/WEBN fireworks show going on this Sunday. There’s no beach towel required for the 2009 AVP Crocs Tour Tournament of Champions that brings a little sand and volleyball to Mason. Dance_MF invades Northside Tavern for a new wave dance party and don’t forget to purchase your rubber duckies for the Freestore Foodbank’s 15th annual Rubber Duck Regatta.

Join the Cincinnati E.A.T.S. hip dinner club downtown for Korean cuisine. The Cincinnati Salsa Festival will have your hips swaying with four days of sambas and cha cha's. Head over to Know Theatre and get a little self-help with Fringe favorite, The Success Show.  And don't miss the Cincinnati Bengals' official kick-off party, the Tailgate Bash on Fountain Square.

The Fourth Annual Music & Arts Fest, World Tour event brings music from continents all around the world to the Madison Theater. Travel back 35 years to see BB King and James Brown rock the African jungle in Soul Power while Herzog Studios celebrates Hank Williams' success in Cincy and The Hiders musical leap to the big screen at Southgate House. Sculptor John Leon opens his Mountains and Music exhibit at The 5th Street Gallery.
