Open Newsroom host Kathryne Gardette visits with Dave Curtin, founder of the Food Forest mobile app. Dave had previously worked for Kroger and was on the team that helped develop Kroger Clicklist. He took those skills and used them to fill a need in Walnut Hills when he heard that the neighborhood Kroger was closing back in 2017. He developed the Food Forest app which allows Walnut Hills residents to select groceries and get them delivered to their door. “I picked Walnut Hills because I saw this store closure in my community, and I wanted to be proactive in building a solution and putting my skills to work in my neighborhood,” he says. #shoplocal #fooddelivery #foodaccess #wearewalnuthills
