OTR International Film Festival announces 2023 lineup
"A Slice Of Pie: A Love Story," a documentary by Xavier professor Blis Hanousek Devault, is among the lineup for this year's Over-The-Rhine International Film Festival.

A documentary by Xavier University professor Blis Hanousek Devault is among the lineup for this year’s Over-The-Rhine International Film Festival, running July 6-8, 2023, at multiple locations.
The full list of festival movies will be unveiled at 4:00pm today during the festival’s launch party on Fountain Square.
Devault’s festival entry, “A Slice of Pie: A Love Story” will be shown during a special event for employees and friends in the Fifth Third Bank atrium. The bank is a supporter of the festival and sponsor of the kickoff party on the square.
A well-known figure in the local production community who has trained hundreds of working professionals, Devault is director of Xavier University’s DIFT program (Digital Innovation, Film and Television) as well as the director of the Xavier TV and Film Center, Center for Innovation.
Other films to be announced at the Fountain Square party include:
- “OKAY! The Autism Spectrum Band Film”
- “The Angry Black Girl and Her Monster”
- “Leonor Will Never Die“
In addition to the lineup announcement, the party will include movie trailers, giveaways, food trucks, a cash bar, and live entertainment.

The festival is organized by LADD, the local organization created in 1975 to support the region’s developmentally disabled population. Named by Moviemaker Magazine as one of the “25 Coolest Film Festivals in the World”, it is the only diversity-driven festival led by members of the disability community.
