Twenty-nine-year-old Justin Thompson of Hyde Park works as a senior investment analyst at CincyTech, a seed stage venture fund subsidized by the state of Ohio that invests in high-growth businesses in information technology and healthcare. 
 
Describe your SXSW experience in five adjectives.
Techy, BBQed, Loud, Inspiring, Rainy
 
What was the weirdest/most unexpected thing that happened?
I randomly met an angel investor that was looking at a deal we were looking at. 

What was your very best moment?
It wasn’t singular. SXSW gets a lot of people together with similar mindsets, so it’s a very open and interactive environment. Met a bunch of people that are meaningful to our portfolio businesses.
 
What’s your big takeaway to bring to Cincinnati?
We can build and create companies that are as good if not better than those that are from the coasts. 
 
What are your plans for next year?
Go and promote Cincinnati startups.
