UC launches master’s in public health

A new master’s degree program in public health has started at the University of Cincinnati, the first such program in the region.The new program includes 25 faculty members teaching in five focus areas: biostatistics, environmental health sciences, epidemiology, health systems, and social and behavioral sciences.With the average age of public health professionals rising and many nearing retirement age, UC hopes that this program will prepare students to step into the industry.While the first class only consists of 10 students, university officials hope to increase that number to 50.Read the full article here.
