OpenCincy simplifies the process of starting a business

A new digital tool assists small business owners and entrepreneurs as they navigate the permit process to open or expand a company.

OpenCincy helps aspiring business owners navigate the often complicated aspects of launching a startup company by customizing information on the zoning requirements and detailing the license, permit, and fee requirements for any organization.

This was made possible, in part, by a collaboration between the city manager’s office, Department of Buildings and Inspections, the Office of Performance and Data Analytics, and the city manager’s office.

Mayor John Cranley said that this would assist small businesses, create jobs, generate tax revenue, and help neighborhood development. To read more about the tool, visit smartcitiesdive.com.
