Nelson Watts, MD was presented with the Yank D. Coble Jr, MD Distinguished Service Award by the American College of Endocrinology (ACE) in recognition of his work and his dedication to teaching.
Watts, a professor of medicine at the
University of Cincinnati and director of the
UC Bone Health and Osteoporosis Center, recently received the award at ACE's 17th annual meeting and clinical congress in Orlando. Watts also serves as chair of the
Food and Drug Administration's Advisory Committee for Endocrine and Metabolic Drugs and is on the
American Board of Internal Medicine subspecialty board in endocrinology and metabolism.
