An investment of $4 million in green energy could bring 29,000 new jobs to Ohio, according to a report by the Blue Green Action Alliance. The manufacturing sector would benefit by producing wind turbines, solar panels, and other renewable energy equipment.
In the news story, Congresswoman Stephanie Tubbs Jones said that "turbines from Cleveland and solar panels from Cincinnati make sense for both the environment and Ohio's economy."
There is also a push by the Alliance to establish statewide renewable energy standards, which have helped to create jobs in other states.
