Total student enrollment at Kentucky's colleges and universities this fall is at an all-time high according to a newly released report from the state's Council on Postsecondary Education. Community and technical colleges appear to be driving the growth throughout the state accounting for a greater than 11 percent increase in enrollment since 2008.
Preliminary enrollment figures estimate that the public and private colleges will have a total of 254,560 students this fall. This total represents a 5-percent enrollment increase from last year, and a 40-percent increase when viewed over the past decade.
