Hire a youth and help change the world. That's the message behind
Cincinnati Mayor Mark Mallory's Youth Jobs Initiative. Mallory called on the region's businesses to participate in his Youth Job Fair and hire 16- to 24-year-olds. "A company can have a significant impact on the life of an area youth," Mallory says. That's not only because they can make a few bucks but because they can learn work ethic, responsibility and time management, he says.
Mallory is sponsoring the 3rd Annual Mayor's Youth Jobs and Opportunities Fair on Thursday, April 17 at the Duke Energy Convention Center downtown. Companies and organizations interested in participating can find registration forms at
www.mayormallory.com. Or for more information, contact the mayor's office at 513-352-3250. The deadline to register is April 10. Youth interested in attending the job fair can also register online.
