With revenue of more than $7 billion, xpedx could stand on its own as a Fortune 500 company. As a unit of International Paper, it is headquartered in the Cincinnati suburb of Loveland and its Cincinnati presence is about to get bigger.
Its xpedx Printing Technologies division is moving its headquarters to its Loveland campus, and its two print technology centers now in Cleveland and Kansas City are combining and moving here. The consolidation will mean about 10 new jobs and a substantial investment here.
The Technology Center will be a place where print professionals can learn about, test and buy new equipment and technologies for offset and digital printing. The center is set to open in January. It will be the only center in the U.S. that gives printers the ability to evaluate products from multiple manufacturers across all types of printing. "Having the gamut of printing technology from leading manufacturers all in one central location is something printers say is important to them," says John Torrey, a VP with xpedx Printing Technologies.
xpedx distributes printing paper, graphics, packaging and other supplies and equipment to printers, publishers, manufacturers, retailers, governments and facility managers across North America.
