Cincinnati USA Partnership named one of top 10 economic development groups in nation

Another round of kudos for Cincinnati's job creation efforts from Site Selection magazine: The May issue names the Cincinnati USA Partnership as one of the nation's top 10 economic development groups and features the city on its cover. Site Selection, considered a primary source of information for corporate relocation experts, made its selections based on new jobs, new investments, innovation and leadership, says Ron Starner, general manager of the magazine's publisher, Conway Data. Earlier this year, Cincinnati was named by the magazine as one of the top metro areas for corporate relocations and expansions. The latest recognition "speaks directly to our ability to leverage our regional assets to attract jobs, capital investment, and new wealth," says Doug Moormann, a VP for the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber. In 2007, the region saw 184 new or expanded business investments, resulting in $5.7 billion in economic impact and more than 20,000 jobs created or retained, the Partnership says.
