The new head of Cincinnati’s largest advertising and public relations agency hasn’t wasted any time keeping the firm on a growth path. Since Kathy Selker was named CEO of Northlich, the agency has created a corporate sustainability practice and consolidated its Columbus office into a space that allows for further expansion. Selker, formerly Northlich’s chief operating officer, became CEO when Mark Serrianne, the chief executive for 10 years, sold his interest to her. It was only the fourth time in the agency’s 58-year history that ownership has changed hands, each time to a senior agency executive. Serrianne, who continues as chairman, said Northlich is poised for more growth under Selker’s leadership. “Kathy has an incredible command of our business and has been instrumental in creating the opportunities that are setting the course for our future,’’ he said.
