GE Aviation lands multi-billion dollar contracts

Cincinnati-based GE Aviation and its CFM International joint venture have reached long-term agreements worth $2.5 billion to repair and overhaul jet engines with ACTS, a Montreal-based engine repair company.

The GE services available include overhaul, on-wing support, new and used parts, component repair, technology upgrades, engine leasing and diagnostics.

“This is the largest materials agreement we have signed to date and we look forward to forging a strong bond and a great working relationship with ACTS over the next decade and beyond,’’ says Eric Bachelet, president and CEO of CFM.   CFM International is a 50-50 joint company between Snecma (SAFRAN Group) of France and General Electric.
