More than 400 venture capitalists, bioscience entrepreneurs and experts under one roof in Cincinnati. It's called the
MidAmerica Healthcare Venture Forum and it's happening downtown Oct. 1 and 2. The forum will bring together the money people and the idea people and put them all together with experts from the legal, financial and academic worlds. It's billed as the Midwest's largest annual event showcasing biotech, pharmaceutical, medical-device and industrial biotech companies. The agenda includes a take on the health care funding market from the lead health care investor at JP Morgan Chase, a keynote from Maribeth Rahe, CEO of Cincinnati's Fort Washington Investment Advisors, and forums with some of the country's top health care venture capitalists. The event's Cincinnati sponsors include Procter & Gamble, Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, BIOSTART, CincyTech and the University of Cincinnati. Registration info is available at the Web site.
