Over the last three years, revenue has climbed 44 percent at Kendle, a big reason the Cincinnati company was named to Fortune's list of the nation's 100-fastest-growing companies. Kendle joins General Cable as the two Cincinnati-area companies to make the list. Kendle, based downtown, is clinical research organization, working on the development of pharmaceuticals around the world. General Cable, with headquarters in Highland Heights, Ky., is one of the largest makers of cable for the electric and telecommunications industries globally.
Making the list "further reaffirms our ability to deliver value for our customers and shareholders," says CEO Candace Kendle.
Fortune's list of the 100 fastest-growing companies is based on three years of revenue and profit growth and total return using data provided by Zacks Investment Research.
