Northern Kentucky ezone helped young companies secure more than $7 million in grants, investments, and other public and private funding in 2008. Among the beneficiaries was
dbaDirect, a Florence, Ky.-based firm that manages more than 3,000 corporate databases, which received $400,000 with assistance from the ezone. A new application round is available online, with a deadline of Aug. 20. ezone clients can apply for grants of $30,000 or other funding options ranging from $100,000 to $750,000 toward commercializing high-tech, high-growth companies and ideas.
