The European Union is a network of 27 countries that, combined, produces about a third of the world’s goods and services. To gain access to that market could mean millions, or more, to a business, and that’s why Cincinnati’s European American Chamber of Commerce and other groups are sponsoring a Sept. 12 daylong seminar, “Selling to the European Union.”

The event will feature U.S. Department of Commerce experts based in Berlin, Prague and Brussels speaking on topics like the market in Eastern Europe, the impact of the weak U.S. dollar and regulatory issues in selling overseas.  The CEO of international shipping company Dachser USA, Frank Guenzerodt, and the CEO of Cincinnati-based coatings manufacturer Michelman Inc., Steve Shifman, will speak.  Registration is available at the EACC’s Web site.
