dbaDirect plans to expand with 19 new jobs

At least 19 high-tech jobs will be created at dbaDirect, as the company plans to upgrade its tech infrastructure. The Florence, Ky.-based company will use a $469,000 grant from the state of Kentucky to make some upgrades so it's in tune with new IT governance and security standards.

Founded in 1999, dbaDIRECT remotely monitors and manages more than 100 corporate databases, including for large public financial service companies, hospitals, and national retail chains, as well as for medium-sized manufacturing and service firms. dbaDirect's workforce now numbers 83, and the new jobs will pay, on average,  $75,000 a year.

John Hindman, secretary of Kentucky's Economic Development Cabinet, says dbaDirect "represents the type of advanced technologies that are providing Kentuckians with many quality, high-paying jobs."
