CECO Environmental expands into China with acquisition

CECO Environmental helps control air pollution from factories all over North America.  Now it's about to enter the market in China in a big way, with the purchase of Fisher-Klosterman, Inc. of Louisvile, Ky. Fisher-Klosterman has a sales and manufacturing site in Shanghai, in the heart of China's booming economy. Petroleum refiners, power producers and petrochemical makers are some of the industries that use their products to clean up what those factories put in the air.

And CECO says it's not finished buying companies. "CECO intends to actively pursue its goal of consolidating the air pollution control industry by acquisition," says Chairman and CEO Phillip DeZwirek. Cincinnati-based CECO Environmental is North America's largest independent air pollution control company. Through nine subsidiaries, it works to clean the emissions from some of the heaviest industries in the country.
