Cause Agency links brand design with good works

Cincinnati advertising vet Tim Fening wants to bring advertising, creative and brand-building expertise to cause-related campaigns and has launched Cause Agency to do just that. Fening was most recently a VP and creative director at Bridge Worldwide. He says Cause Agency is a full-service creative firm focused on connecting corporate initiatives with non-profits to develop creative that makes a difference. "There simply is no other advertising agency regionally focused completely on cause-marketing," Fening says.

Cause plans to connect corporations with non-profits, create distinct brand identities and advertising campaigns, and build brand equity for good causes. Fening says its ideal clients will be major corporations who already have cause-related programs in place, or who are looking to establish them. Cause-related marketing is increasingly seen as a way to help businesses stand out from the competition, enhance consumer perception, boost brand loyalty and promote sales, Fening says. At Bridge, Fening developed digital and traditional campaigns for Ethicon Endo-Surgery. Before that, he was VP/associate creative director at Scribner Advertising, where he worked on health care campaigns for clients such as P&G Pharmaceuticals, Merck, Coloplast, Upjohn (Pharmacia), and Fujisawa USA.
