USGBC-Cincinnati to discuss green initiatives at 30th annual CSI Construction Products Showcase

Prepare to be educated on things green.

For this year's CSI Construction Products Showcase will feature more than the newest in building design.

The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) is setting up shop this year and will present "Build Green Cincinnati" and "Build Green Workshops" on March 11 from 5:00 to 8:30 pm at the Sharonville Convention Center.

In particular, the USGBC will enlighten attendees on Greater Cincinnati LEED-certified buildings and green initiatives.

To illustrate, cutting edge building products will be shown and used in demonstrations, and professionals in the field will speak on the advantages of going green.

Other workshops include "Sustainable Lighting Trends" by Bridget Ford of io lighting, "Integrating "Building Design and Environmental Analysis" by Nick Bower of Advanced Solutions Inc, and "Biomimicry: Learning from Nature" by Lindsay James of InterfaceFLOR.

The CSI Showcase is put on by the Construction Specifications Institute, the American Institute of Architects – Committee on the Environment, the International Interior Design Association and the U.S. Green Building Council.
