Cold Jet lands high-tech machining and manufacturing facility in Milford

When it comes to dry ice blast cleaning and production, Cold Jet LLC delivers the goods.

And on February 18, 2009, the world leader in dry ice blast cleaning unveiled its brand new 14,600 square foot machining and manufacturing facility in Milford, Ohio.

This is good news for Milford.

Cold Jet plans to hire additional staff and invest $2.5 million in innovative technology that will ensure
they maintain the high quality work they're known for.

“With our new facility, we have tighter control over our manufacturing processes, which will allow us to reduce the time it takes to develop and deliver products to our customers,” says Gene Cooke, Cold Jet president and CEO.

Combined with Cold Jet's Loveland, Ohio-based headquarters, the company now has 35,000 square feet of space, in which to manufacture and assemble their goods.

In their new facility, dry ice craftsmen can channel their skills into Electrical Discharge Machining, a process that allows one to cut precise lines and hollows in hardened steels and exotic metals.

"The facility complements our assembly operations, R&D lab and testing cell, and allows us to offer the most advanced development-to-delivery group of integrated facilities in the market," Cooke says.
From its Cincinnati base, Cold Jet services thousands of customers all over the globe.  Prominent sectors include automotive, plastics and rubber, packaging, medical device, printing, food processing and contract cleaners.

On the progressive side, Cold Jet's cleaning methods are environmentally friendly.  Using a non-abrasive recycled CO2 in the form of dry ice pellets or particles, Cold Jet's cleaning technologies reduce waste and minimize toxic agents.

Further, with the capability to run 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, every natural gas corporation in the world is currently using a Cold Jet dry ice production system to keep things spic and span.

“For 23 years, Cold Jet has pioneered the application of recycled carbon dioxide to reduce and/or eliminate the use of toxic chemicals and waste-generating processes for cleaning, paint stripping and surface preparation,” Cooke says.  “Our Aero Series and i3MicroClean systems are the industry standard.  Our new facility and manufacturing team will allow us to continue to deliver the value and performance that our customers have come to expect. ”
