Scrap metal sorter moving its North American HQ from Florida to Erlanger

Steinert US a leading supplier of separation equipment for the scrap metal market is moving its North American HQ from Clearwater, Fla., to Erlanger in Northern Kentucky.

The company should be in its new digs, at 1830 Airport Exchange Blvd., by mid-November. The company will occupy 7,500 sq. ft. of space, moving its entire parts warehouse and administrative activities here.

"We are pleased that Steinert US, led by President Jason Looman, chose Northern Kentucky after a thorough search and look forward to working with this growth company," said Gary Moore, Boone County Judge Executive and Chairman Northern Kentucky Tri-ED, which helped the company locate a suitable spot.

Steinert had looked at several competing locations including Chicago, Memphis, Atlanta, Nashville and Charlotte. The company settled on Northern Kentucky because of its central location, infrastructure nearby airport and proximity to a host of universities.

"We finalized on the location in Northern Kentucky because we liked its existing infrastructure, and its commitment to international companies," Looman said.

The company's worldwide HQ is in Cologne, Germany. Steinert US distributes magnetic and sensor sorting equipment for the North American scrap metal market.
