Cincinnati City Council passed Mayor Mallory's Green Cincinnati Climate Action Plan last year. It contains 80 recommendations in the areas of transportation, energy, waste, land use, and advocacy to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 2% a year.

"It is an honor to be recognized for our efforts to make Cincinnati a state and national leader in building a smarter, healthier, and greener community," Mayor Mallory said.  "We have many local partners that are all committed to the same goal and are working hard to achieve that common goal."
