Meridian Mark starts new language translation company

Meridian Mark Management, a Cincinnati-based holding company, has started a new business that will help companies better translate foreign language communications.

Meridian Mark Language Services will offer a range of translation services for company products including web sites, multi-lingual desktop publishing and interpretation services.

The company offers translations in more than 100 languages and works with more than 70 types of computer and technical programs, including InDesign, Java, PageMaker, Quark and Microsoft Office products.

In today’s global economy bad communications can be bad for business. The U.S. State Department estimates U.S. companies lose $50 billion each year due to faulty translation.

“A company can quickly lose money when a translation is incorrect,” said Madonna Kohnen, Vice President of MMLS.  “Our company offers clients more than just translation services; we offer peace of mind the translations we provide are not only accurate, but also reflect the flavor and style the author intended in a culturally relevant manner.  All of our translations are thoroughly reviewed and edited by a third party editor and proofreader.”

Meridian Mark Language Services will work with clients on an individual basis offering customized services. They use specialized translators who have written and verbal expertise in the client’s target demographic and specialized industry.

Meridian Mark Management is a holding company with interests or ownership in more than 20 companies.
