Coating Excellence International opens manufacturing plant in Hebron, to create 100 jobs

Coating Excellence International, a Wisconsin-based specialized flexible packaging company has opened a new 120,000-sq. ft. manufacturing plant in Northern Kentucky.

The plant, in Hebron, is the company's first manufacturing plant outside of Wisconsin.  Workers will produce a variety of flexible packaging including food, paper, and the company's signature SuperTube poly-woven bags used to package and preserve pet food.

"When looking at the opportunity for expansion, Kentucky was a logical fit for Coating Excellence International," said Michael Nowak, president of CEI. "We wanted to keep our business in the Midwest, and the 120,000-square-foot facility in Hebron allows us the opportunity to grow our business while creating many new Midwest jobs in the process."

The company estimates creating 100 jobs in the next three years. The Kentucky Cabinet of Economic Development approved a $250,000 economic development bond grant for the project.
