Strata-G communications seeking RFPS from arts organizations for year of pro-bono marketing services

After recently gaining national recognition for its support of the arts, Strata-G communications is further reaching out into Greater Cincinnati arts community, offering a year of free pro-bono services in a competitive process.

Strata-G, an interactive PR and marketing agency, is seeking proposals for its new Marketing for the Arts program. Strata-G will pick two arts organizations and provide a host of free marketing and PR services throughout 2011.

Arts organizations can apply for the services or nominate an organization here. The application process is open until Feb. 15.

"We continue to pick up more pro bono work across the region, and we thought this was a really cool way to do something special and take a look at the arts. The arts are a really important part of the region and times are tough for them.  Funding dollars are being cut and fundraising is challenging," said Jeff Eberlein, managing partner at Strata-G.

Strata-G Communications last year offered more than $75,000 in financial and pro-bono communications services to arts organizations across Cincinnati.

That work for organizations including the Clifton Cultural Arts Center and Summerfair, has earned the downtown Cincinnati firm a top spot in the Americans for the Arts' annual "Business Committee for the Arts (BCA) Ten" competition. The designation is awarded to companies for their "exceptional support of the arts in the United States." Strata-G is the only Cincinnati-based company on the list, and one of few mid-sized companies named in the award. 

If chosen, arts' organizations will have a wide variety of services at their disposal.

"It really depends on what the organization needs. Maybe they've never been able to afford a quality web site, or need rebranding or a direct marketing campaign. For smaller arts organizations, marketing isn't a skill set that a person has developed. It's just one of the hats a person wears. They may have never even created a marketing strategy, and we can help them with that," Eberlein said.
