Soapbox has a story this week about a partnership between United Way of Cincinnati and Duke Energy to purchase fans for local nonprofits that work with individuals who are considered low-income, who have disabilities or who are older and more susceptible to heat exhaustion.
Fans will be available to those in need by calling 2-1-1, the United Way’s 24/7 health and social services information and referral helpline.
