Northern Kentucky University has a growing, diverse student population, but some students may not be as connected to the university's resources, and to each other, as they could be. Using a grant, the university started Amplify NKU, an effort to connect students, particularly BIPOC, LGBTQ, and international students, to the broader life of the university. A key aspect of the program is empowering students, rather than staff or administrators, to share information and create connections as a way to form lasting bonds among peers.
