Cincinnati’s cosmopolitan facelift
Three Ohio cities are credited for having cool urban living at reasonable prices.
According to the New York Post, “Over the past few years, the Buckeye State’s cities have received a cosmopolitan facelift, thanks to an increase in infrastructure spending that’s led to a boom in a millennial residents who want urban living without the sky-high rents of coastal cities.
The story specifically focuses on Cleveland, Columbus, and Cincinnati, with the author crediting the Queen City’s upscale, affordable hotels (specifically the 21c Museum Hotel, a century-old building with modern amenities that include a rooftop deck and original artwork in the rooms), and the complete turnaround of OTR in the past decade.
“And,” the author, Christian Gollayan says, “while my younger self spent years trying to escape Ohio, that night, I was reminded why I love this place so much: genuine Midwestern kindness and hospitality.”
