Minority Business Development group will promote innovation and competitiveness

The Cincinnati Minority Business Development Organization officially opened up last week as a way to leverage resources for disadvntaged and minority businesses in the area. The Minority Business Development Organization is a partnership between the Ohio Department of Development’s Minority Business Enterprise Division and the Greater Cincinnati African American Chamber of Commerce. Its goal is to identify and support eligible companies to accelerate long-term prosperity by focusing  resources to promote innovation, competitiveness, and self-sufficiency. The initiative hopes to strengthen the state’s minority business community by providing business services and resources to its members. Ohio Lt. Gov. Lee Fisher, who also serves as director of the Ohio Department of Development, says the program “is a collaboration between state and local entities that will provide a wealth of services and resources to the minority business community of the region.” Writer: David HolthausSource: Robert Grevey, Ohio Department of Development
