Inclusive capitalism, a “global movement to engage leaders across business, government, and civil sectors and encourage them to practice and invest in ways that extend the opportunities and benefits of our economic system to everyone,” is being touted as the way back to commercial success.
Manufacturing, which hasn’t fully bounced back since the 2008 recession, is making strides thanks to local places like CoMADE, but creating jobs is only part of the story. The plan is to foster innovation, entrepreneurship, manufacturing, and workforce development all under one roof, which will create economic and personal growth. Entrepreneurs and companies will be offered lower rent so they can afford to be involved, which is the idea behind inclusive capitalism.
