The Food Network premiered their newest show this week, “Family Restaurant Rivals,” and longtime Cincinnati favorite (and previous Soapbox story), Oriental Wok, was featured on the first episode. When founder Mike Wong and his daughters Susanna and Angela received the call, they initially thought it was a prank. But the Northern Kentucky chapter of the Kentucky Restaurant Association submitted them because of the history and longevity of both the Hyde Park and Fort Mitchell locations.
The show, which airs Mondays at 10 p.m., features three teams of restaurant-industry families competing for a $10,000 prize. Although the Wong's didn't win, they showcased many of Oriental Wok's favorites and had fans around the world watching.
