For the fifth year in a row, the Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County was
designated a Five-Star Library by the Library Journal.
The ranking compares libraries based on the services they deliver — per capita library visits, circulation, program attendace and public Internet use.
The PLCHC is among the top two libraries in the country in the $30+ million expenditure category and is one of only five libraries in the U.S. to recieve a Five-Star rating. This year's rating was based on 2015 data, which libraries report to the Institute of Museum and Library Sciences.
