Two Cincinnati boutique branding firms,
PB&J PR and
SYN/TAX design, have joined forces to offer a wide suite of print, web and public relations services.
Both young companies are currently housed in the PB&J downtown Cincinnati offices, where they launched the partnership about three weeks ago.
Micah Paldino, who operates PB&J (Public Relations, Branding and Jabber), said the partnership was a natural one for the two lean, creative firms.
"There is such a need in PR and branding for web and logo design. If we work together we feel we can hone in on the message coming from the client," Paldino said. "I've had so many clients who've asked, Do you design web sites? Do you design newsletters? I said, Nope but Emmit does."
Emmit is SYN/TAX founder Emmit Jones, whose three-person company offers a wide range of services including branding, identity, web design, creative programming, installation and art direction.
Much of Jones' independent work started with the area music industry, but his experience has evolved. SYN/TAX recent projects include an installation for P&G, handbills and a web site for the
Pink Sapphire Club, and a rebrand for
Reis Insurance Agency. Jones moved his company from Lower Price Hill to be closer to his downtown area clients.
"We want to be close to our client base in the hustle and bustle of downtown," he said.
Like Jones, Paldino also works with local, creative and dynamic companies and organizations. Clients include Cincinnati Fashion Week, Christian Moerlein Brewing Co. and Landor Associates. He was also on the ground of promoting many of Cincinnati's food trucks, including Cafe de Wheels and Senor Roys Taco Patrol.
"Micah's is a different kind of firm. He seems to be more creative than traditional PR. He is more involved in the process and creative ideation and that's exactly what we do as well," Jones said. "It only enhances the prospects for the client.
