You may not know it, but Cincinnati is home to one of the most lively and diverse blogging scenes in the U.S. and this Wednesday Everyone’s Famous! Blogger Bash 2008 brings those web loggers face to face. The AVS Art Gallery hosts an evening filled with an assortment of bloggers ranging from wine and food enthusiasts to the urbanist crowd and the green bunch, all of who will bring their online repartee from the World Wide Web to the real world. The bash starts at 7 and wraps up at 11; early enough for everyone to get home and blog about their evening!

Catch the tunes of modern-day troubadour Justin Townes Earle, son of legendary singer/songwriter Steve Earle, as he takes the stage at Molly Malone’s in Covington, KY Thursday night. Earle’s narrative style puts life into music, as he crafts portraits and tales using elements of blues, classic country and rock n’roll. Think hillbilly meets greaser in a show that is sure to make Earle Sr. proud. Also performing is another Nashville crooner, Amy LaVere, who while just a teen fronted for the infamous punk band Last Minute. Show starts at 8:00 pm and tickets are $12.

An old proverb states, “Good things come in small packages.” Well Red Tree Art Gallery and Coffee Shop proves this proverb true as they present the opening night of, A Small Glimpse: life from the perspective of artists all over the world this Saturday. This internationally juried exhibit consists of works 5x5 or smaller. Come at 6:00 pm to see the world as you’ve never seen it before.

When someone says the word Celtics, I’m sure most think of that team from Boston who play with basketballs for millions of dollars, but not this weekend. This weekend the word “Celtic” deals more with one’s pride in their heritage as the city hosts the Cincinnati Celtic Festival at Yeatman's Cove and Serpentine Wall on the riverfront. They’ll be over 25 acts on four stages ranging from local & regional music performers including headliners Celtic Spring, The Town Pants, Enter the Haggis and Seven Nations, along with various Celtic inspired dance and drama performances.
