Landlord Special
October 28-November1
Bohemians are all the rage and who knows it better than those seven impoverished young artists and musicians from NYC's Lower Eastside. Don’t miss Rent-the seventh longest-running musical in Broadway history - as it hits the Aronoff Center for the Arts this week only. Jonathan Larson's rock musical is taking itself across America to tell the story of a group of friends who deal with personal struggles, wrapped in love and passion, under the shadow of AIDS. Tickets start at $22.50 and show times vary Wednesday thru Sunday. Click here for show times and ticket purchase.
Twist It

Plenty of great things in life come with a twist: vodka, movie plots, martinis, and of course, Twister. This Thursday the Taft Museum of Art joins the list of greats with an evening to satisfy your inner ghost buster. Taft with a Twist is a Halloween-inspired, Cincinnati-centered night that includes music by Eagle to Squirrel, paranormal investigations with Cincinnati Area Paranormal Existence Research; Jeff and Michael Morris; meet authors of "Haunted Cincinnati and Southwest Ohio;" tours and much more. The fun goes from 6:00-9:00 p.m. Price is $10, $5 members.
Sink Your Teeth In
October 30
It's the time of year for vampires to come out of the shadows and feast upon all the poorly-dressed Dracula impersonators out there. Avoid being an entrée and get bit by a different kind of creature - a creature of culture - this Friday night with the Contemporary Art Center's annual Bite Me Ball. See Carlos Amorales' spiderweb installations of Mexico City. Enjoy food by the bite from Oceanaire, Palomino and others, a costume contest with prizes courtesy of The Container Store, cash bar, DJ and so much more. And if that's not enough to entice you, members of the Cincinnati Ballet company will be showing guests the pelvic thrusting, hand and hair raising moves of "Thriller." Biting begins at 9:00 p.m. Cost is $25; $20 with ballet ticket holders and CAC members
All Hallow's Eve
October 31
There's so much to do in Cincinnati for Halloween night that we couldn't just pick one. So here are a couple of fun alternatives to Trick-or-Treating. Full Spectrum in Covington closes out with Zombie Crawl - a costumed themed tour of Covington. Starting at Molly Malone's Irish Pub at 6 p.m. you'll visit bars and other night life hot spots each with their own take on a frightfully fun event along the way to the grand finale, a B-Movie Bash at Leapin Lizzard gallery. For complete tour line-up, click here. If you prefer to keep your costumed bottom stationary, Monster Mash Bash at Fountain Square is for you. Shake your ghoul thang to the tunes of DJ Easz, experience spooky lighting effects, fall treats, and a hearse-turned-limousine. Beer Fear will allow adult mashers to order beer from a grab bag and be surprised. Monster Mash Bash goes from 8:00 p.m. until midnight. To make the decision harder, "Thriller" will be danced at both celebrations.
