Springer Style Shakespeare
September 9
The Cincinnati Shakespeare Company goes Jerry Springer with their latest production, Lion In The Winter. This Shakespearean drama portrays a royal family who's looking to name a new king to the throne and that will be no easy task as this monarchy comes complete with a manipulative dad, jailbird momma, and three pampered and sly sons.  But this kind of drama wouldn't be Springer or Shakespeare worthy unless you threw in a jealous lover and her power-hungry brother, who are also out for the throne. The only thing missing from this scenario is a trailer and a mullet, but a castle and 12th century hair styles will have to do. So don't miss Jeff Goldman's Academy Award-Winning screenplay and the Cincinnati Shakespeare Company's season opener, Lion In The Winter. Show continues Thursdays through Sundays through October 11.
