At approximately 9:05 p.m. this Sunday night, it’ll be time to say so long to summer and hello to fall, at the annual Riverfest celebration. As usual, Cincinnati is sending summer out with a bang, a spectacular bang that is, thanks to the Cincinnati Bell/WEBN Fireworks which will explode over the Ohio River. It doesn’t matter which side of the river you live on, all day Sunday the banks will be lined with food, music and entertainment for all to enjoy leading up to the fireworks. If you don’t feel like venturing down to the river, the fireworks can be seen from areas such as Sawyer Point, which begins an alcohol-free celebration starting at noon, and Mt. Echo Park which also offers a fantastic view. Don’t miss Riverfest, Cincinnati’s last hurrah before scarves and mitten season.

“Rubber Ducky, you're the one, you make Labor Day Weekend so much fun." Ok, so those might not be the exact lyrics to the bathtub anthem but that’s the tune being sung by the 15th annual Rubber Duck Regatta - it hits the Serpentine Wall on the Ohio River this Sunday. The Freestore Foodbank’s largest-annual fundraiser invites you to buy a rubber ducky and enter the 100 yard race. Owner of the 1st place duck wins a new 2010 Honda Insight and possibly $1 million if their duck is the “Million Dollar Duck.” Five runners-up also win prizes. Prices of ducks range from $5 for one to $100 for 24 with other packages in between. Remember the more ducks you buy the more chances you have at a million dollars and more importantly, the more proceeds that will go to the Freestore Foodbank. Race starts at 3:00 p.m. and ducks can be purchased on the Purple People Bridge during Riverfest.
