African kora player Toumani Diabate takes the stage Thursday evening while visual artist Karl Jensen provides an evocotive installation to compliment the musical compositions. It's an experience you don't want to miss. Shows start at 7 p.m. each night. Click here for tickets.

Knowledge is Power

American novelist Shelby Foote once wrote, "When you grow up in a totally segregated society, where everybody around you believes that segregation is proper, you have a hard time. You can't believe how much it's a part of your thinking." Taking a page from Foote, Give Back Cincinnati and FreedomYP began the Freedom Project - a pairing of YP and diversity organizations that provide a unique opportunity to actively volunteer in the community while building relationships with people of diverse backgrounds. The Freedom Project is holding its final informational session this Thursday evening at Arnold's Bar and Grill from 6-7 p.m. If you're interested in learning more about community service projects that are geared toward breaking down the barriers of race in Cincinnati, \take part in the dialogue.  Click here to learn more.
