Cincinnati, along with the entire nation, is celebrating an historic event this Tuesday with the inauguration of our 44th president, Barack Obama. So whether you voted donkey, elephant or some animal in between, don’t miss the commemoration of this country's next four years at The Blue Ball, presented by Cincy Rocks Obama. Northside Tavern will take the place of the Washington Convention Center to host the quasi black tie event which also benefits the Freestore Food Bank, so don't forget to bring a donation! Treasonous Theater

If politics aren't your thing and you'd prefer to take a trip back in time Tuesday night, catch Travels of Angelica at Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park. It's got all the makings of an award winning production: treason, blackmail, family drama, mystery, deadlines and time-travel. So come flip-flop between 1657 and 2008 with The Mickey Kaplan New American Play Prize-winning performance. Show runs through February 20. Click here for tickets and times.

You never know what you'll find when you go digging up the past. Voss Finn and Samantha Johnson take a look at the diverse history of Northside through sculpture and installation works in the Happy Valley or Helltown exhibit at Prairie Gallery. Come see how brawling, feuds and drunken revelry along with circus performances and parades, combined to create this all-embracing neighborhood. Exhibit continues through February 27.

Southern Boy

Taking a break from his role as 'Teen Angel' in the musical Grease, Taylor Hicks will put on a solo show Saturday night at the 20th Century Theater. Hicks will perform songs from his self-titled album and 'Early Works,' he may even preview material for his latest album which releases this spring. Don't pass up the chance to see the fifth-season American Idol winner croon tunes reflective of his Alabama up-bringing and inspired by some of his personal idols like Ray Charles.
