Well Sara Bareilles may not have written one, but John Kolvenbach wrote Love Song for the stage. Cincinnati’s Playhouse in the Park presents a romantic comedy which attempts to celebrate that crazy little thing called love and life, who’s along for the ride. It’s a story of a man named Beane and his meddling sister Joan, who launches a personal campaign to uncover the story behind bro’s new love interest.  Play opens with a preview Tuesday October 21 and continues through November 21. Come witness the newest trends in mural work and raw graffiti at the opening of this truly original show at the Creative Gallery (1315 Main St.) this Friday.  Street styles and studio precision combine in one effort covering the entire gallery, wall to wall. Featuring music by Skratchmatik, Rich Lather, and DJ Porky.  Stop by before your trip to Annies to see Atmosphere and KRS One.  If you can't make it this Friday, you will have one more chance to see the show during Final Friday, Halloween night.  Reception starts at 6pm.  If you liked the mural on The Know Theater, you will love this!

There’s no doubt the moves on Dancing With The Stars are hot, but Anya Gerasimchuk proves 2-D dancing can be just as steamy. Her unconventional art combines all the rhythm, passion and energy of dance with composition and technique to create Dancing on Canvases. This Friday join Pendleton Art Gallery for the Opening Reception of Gerasimchuk’s work. Stick around after the art lecture and let your body become the canvas with Kama Salsa Dancing who will be performing and giving a free dance lesson. Reception starts at 6pm. America’s largest hip hop festival invades Annie’s this weekend as Scribble Jam brings music and graffiti together. Get ready for two days, two stages and a whole lot of creativity going on with battles of every kind, MC, Beatbox, B-Boy and Dj not to mention an expo featuring work of top graffiti artists. Tickets are $25 at the door each day. Check out the website for more details. If you want more graffiti action stop by AVS Art Gallery for their UP IN THE AIR exhibition which features International Superstars DALEK and Steve Powers as well as other nationally recognized artists.
